Bear Lake is an interesting little town, full of quirky, salt-of-the-earth characters. I loved picturing the scenery – made me want to run off and live in a little town like that!! I liked the fact that we got some hints into some side characters’ back stories – and some of those stories are racy!!
Ked and Sean make a good couple. I really liked Ked, even though he would be tiring to be around. I thought the book overall was a little too long. There were some parts I thought were unnecessary to the overall story, so it dragged a little bit. But I was attached enough to the characters that I stuck with it.
The relationship between Ked and Sean progressed REALLY quickly – it seemed like they went from not knowing each other to being completely in love with each other at light-speed. I know the speed of their relationship was part of their whole story, but it would have been a lot more believable if they had spent a tiny bit more time getting to know each other.
The juicy bits are definitely steamy. I don’t read a whole lot of BDSM books, this one was probably about as hard-core as I’m comfortable with – and it did push my own limits a little bit. But overall I enjoyed it, and I plan to read the next book when it comes out!
